“Where does innovation come from when we are in our comfort Zone,” is one of the major questions to be addressed when Dr. Rajiv Grover offers the keynote address at Leadership Memphis’ fifth annual Multicultural Breakfast on October 26 at the Holiday Inn – University of Memphis.
Dr. Grover will speak on “Two Keys to Great Leadership: Diversity and Creativity.” This talk will focus on two relevant concepts that make great leaders: diversity and creativity. How diversity influences creativity and how creativity effects individual and organizational performance will be discussed. Evidence from recent findings regarding the same will be presented. Behaviors, attitudes and policies influencing diversity and creativity will be explored.
Dr. Grover is Dean of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics and the holder of the Sales and Marketing Chair of Excellence at the University of Memphis. He has authored the book Theory and Simulation of Market-Focused Management and was the founding editor of The Journal of Market Focused Management. He has edited The Handbook of Marketing Research: Uses, Misuses, and Future Advances.
The Multicultural Breakfast is one four signature events produced each year by Leadership Memphis and is open to the public. Registration and the buffet line open at 8:00 and the program begins at 8:30 and ends at 9:30 am. Musical entertainment from students at the Brownsville Road International Studies Optional School will open the program. This event is sponsored by United Way of the Mid-South.
